PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> r— MEETING OF MAY 5, 1993 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-3, Town Office <br /> Building, was called to order at 7 36 p m. by Vice Chairman Domnitz, with <br /> members Canale, Davison, and Assistant Planner Marino present Mr. Grant and <br /> Mr Williams were absent. <br /> *********************** ARTICLES FOR 1993 TOWN MEETING *********************** <br /> 70. Article 24. Golf in Residential Districts Arthur Smith, a Town Meeting <br /> Member from Precinct 2, was present to explain an amendment he proposed to <br /> offer under reconsideration of Article 24 It would add "or golf driving <br /> range" at the end of the motion. Mr. Smith said he simply wanted to have Town <br /> Meeting clarify the meaning of the Zoning By-Law and did not have a substan- <br /> tive position on the amendment. <br /> There was a lengthy discussion in which the three Board members present each <br /> had a different interpretation of how Town Meeting's approval of Mr Smith's <br /> proposed amendment could be interpreted. The members had differing interpre- <br /> tations of the reasons for Town Meeting's disapproval of the motion offered <br /> under Article 24. <br /> The three members agreed to take no position on Mr Smith's amendment to <br /> Article 24, should the article be brought up for reconsideration, as there was <br /> not a consensus among the three members <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8 03 p m. <br /> .441 A <br /> Edmund rant, erk <br />
