PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF APRIL 30, 1990 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office <br /> Building, was called to order at 7:08 p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Wood, with <br /> members Domnitz, Uhrig, Williams, Planning Director Bowyer, Assistant Planner <br /> Nordby and Secretary Peters present. Mrs. Klauminzer arrived at the end of <br /> Item 110. <br /> 107. Review of Minutes: The Board reviewed the minutes for the meeting of <br /> April 10, 1990. On the motion of Mr. Williams, seconded by Mr. Domnitz, it <br /> was voted 3-0-1 (Mrs. Uhrig abstained as she was not present at the meeting) <br /> to approve the minutes, as written. <br /> ************************ REPORTS ************************************** <br /> 108. Planning Director <br /> a. Schedule of Planning Board Meetings Mr. Bowyer suggested, and the <br /> Board agreed that meetings be scheduled for May 14 and 21, 1990. He <br /> reported the joint Planning Board - Board of Selectmen meeting to fill <br /> the Planning Board vacancy has been scheduled for May 21. <br /> b. Training Program for New Planning Board Members: Mr. Bowyer <br /> reported he will be putting together a training program for the <br /> information of new members in the next month or so. <br /> ******** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ******* <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS ON APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> 109. Hearings Scheduled for Mav 24. 1990 Mr. Williams gave an oral review <br /> of the following applications: <br /> 20 Dewey Road, variance, to add a detached 2-car carport with a front <br /> yard setback of 19 feet to the corner of the carport instead of the <br /> required 30 feet. Mrs. Wood noted that it would seem that there would <br /> be little more destruction either to land or to vegetation if the <br /> carport were set back the required 30 feet, since it is not proposed to <br /> be attached to the house, and that it is not essential for every house <br /> to have a carport. On the motion of Mrs. Wood, seconded by Mr. Domnitz, <br /> it was voted 4-0 to recommend the variance be denied since none of the <br /> statutory criteria for granting a variance, relating to soil conditions, <br /> shape or topography, has been demonstrated. <br /> 10 Muzzev Street, Amalia G. Samoylenko, appeal of the decision of the <br /> Zoning Officer denying a building permit to renovate second floor space <br /> at the Lexington Mews, because of failure to satisfy off-street parking <br /> requirements of Section 11.1 2 of the Lexington Zoning By-Law The <br /> Board noted that procedurally, this issue was resolved 4 years ago, and <br /> the conditions remain unchanged. On the motion of Mr. Williams, <br />
