PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF APRIL 24, 1989 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office <br /> Building, was called to order at 7: 03 <br /> p.m. by the Chairman, Mrs. Uhrig, with <br /> members Klauminzer, Wood, Planning Director Bowyer, Assistant Planner Nordby, <br /> and Secretary Peters present. Mr. Sorensen arrived during Item 115, and Mr. <br /> Williams was absent. <br /> **************** ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ************ <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS ON APPLICATIONS TO THE BOARD OF APPEALS <br /> 115. Hearings scheduled for April 27, 1989: Mrs. Klauminzer gave an oral <br /> review of the following applications to the Board of Appeals: <br /> 37 Maple Street, Francois & Nicole Morel, Appeal of Decision of Building <br /> Commissioner's determination that Lots 1 through 5 are not legal build- <br /> ing lots. The Board discussed the material presented to the Board of <br /> Appeals by the applicant, and agreed with the Building Commissioner's <br /> assessment of the application, as outlined in his letter of March 1, <br /> 1989. On the motion of Mrs. Klauminzer, seconded by Mrs. Wood, it was <br /> voted 3-0-1 (Mr. Sorensen abstained), to recommend the decision of the <br /> Building Commissioner be upheld because the lots were combined by deed, <br /> when the property was sold in 1946 and again in 1947, and can no longer <br /> qualify as legal building lots as defined under the "Guidelines for <br /> Reviewing Applications for Building Permits to Build on Substandard or <br /> Grandfathered Lots". <br /> The Board also agreed to make no recommendation on the following applications <br /> also scheduled to be heard on April 27, 1989. <br /> 7 Apollo Circle, Nancy & Greg Hintlian, Variance, from front yard <br /> setback requirements. <br /> 22 Moreland Avenue, John M. Thorp, Variance, from 20 foot sideyard <br /> street setback. <br /> 1775 Massachusetts Avenue, Leslie H. York, SP, to install projecting <br /> sign. <br /> 62 Massachusetts Avenue, Wayside Florists, Inc., SP, to install a free- <br /> standing sign. <br /> ****************** ARTICLES FOR 1989 TOWN MEETING **************************** <br /> 116. Articles 55 and 56: Mrs. Klauminzer reported a motion for indefinite <br /> postponement of Articles 55 and 56 will be made at Town Meeting. She added <br /> that several reports will be given under Article 2 reviewing the activities of <br /> the Board of Selectmen, the Planning Board and LEXHAB on affordable housing in <br /> the past year.
