PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> MEETING OF JUNE 19, 1995 <br /> The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-15, Town Office Building, was called to <br /> order at 7.42 p.m. by Chairman Davison, with members Davies, Merrill, Planning Director Bowyer, and <br /> Assistant Planner Marino present. Mr. Grant and Mr. Canale arrived during Item 104 <br /> **************************************** MINUTES ************************************** <br /> 102. Review of Minutes: The Board reviewed the minutes for the meeting of May 1, 1995. On die <br /> motion of Mr. Davies, seconded by Mr. Merrill, it was voted unanimously, 3-0, to approve the minutes, as <br /> written. <br /> The Board reviewed and corrected the minutes for the meeting of June 5, 1995 On the motion of Mr. <br /> Grant, seconded by Mr. Canale, it was voted unanimously, 3-0, to approve the minutes, as amended. <br /> *************************** PLANNING DIRECTOR'S REPORT ************************** <br /> 103 Recent Activity <br /> a. LexHAB. Grandview Avenue LIP. Mr. Bowyer reported that the Lexington Housing Assistance Board <br /> has received approval from EOCD of its Local Initiative application to build a house on Grandview Avenue. <br /> The next step is to file an application with the Lexington Board of Appeals. <br /> b. 160/170 Wood Street Subdivision Proposal: Mr. Bowyer reported that Paul Chisholm, the representa- <br /> tive of the bank that owns the land at 160/170 Wood Street, asked the Lexington Housing Assistance Board <br /> for the second time about applying for a Comprehensive Permit through die Local Initiative Program. <br /> Marshall Derby, LexHAB chairman, again informed him that he should seek an RD rezoning of the <br /> property instead. Mr. Bowyer reminded the Board that a developer must have the permission of the Board <br /> of Selectmen to even begin the process of applying for a Comprehensive Permit through the Local Initiative <br /> Program. <br /> ************ ADMINISTRATION OF LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS ************* <br /> SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br /> 104. Fox Run Lane. Conventional Subdivision Plan. PUBLIC HEARING: Mrs. Davison opened the <br /> hearing at 7:55 p.m. Present were Richard Waitt, engineer, of Meridian Engineering Collaborative, Gary <br /> Larson, landscape architect, of Larson Associates, and the applicant Zaroohy Seed. Mr. Larson described the <br /> plans for the proposed subdivision. <br /> Mr. Larson highlighted the features of the Planned Residential Development/Conventional Subdivision plans <br /> and explained that this plan is similar to the one presented at the preliminary plan stage. The proposal <br /> includes the removal of the existing dwelling and the construction of a 648' long dead-end street with a <br /> circular turnaround. The proposed subdivision consists of eight single family dwellings on individual lots. <br /> Each lot has sufficient frontage and area as required by the Lexington Zoning By-Law <br /> There were comments and questions from the Planning Board regarding the drainage area in the rear of lot <br /> #4, the large tree at the intersection of the proposed street with East Street and the conditions imposed by <br /> the Board of Selectmen on the removal of the tree. The Board also discussed the replacement street trees <br /> and the installation of additional curbing along East Street. <br />
