<br />Minutes of the Meeting Held on Thursday,November 9th,2023
<br />A Meeting of the Lexington Youth Commission was held on Thursday,November 9th,2023.The
<br />meeting began at 7:00pm in the LHS Library Media Center
<br />Absent:Jimmy Athens,Kristina Hankins,John Kefalas,Izzy Barbesino,Doug Lucente,Owen
<br />Rosenthal,Meera Krishnan,Sonal Setty.
<br />Present:Debra Hankins,Shannon DeGuglielmo,Duncan Maloney,Sofia Saleeby,Charlie
<br />Swan,Sadie Maloney,Kimly Nguyen,Margot Byers,Sophie Read,Eliza Babson,Arden Carney,
<br />Nina Arnold,Victoria Wu,Alice Ma,Tom Romano,Gabriella Costello,Adeline Favazzo,Sarah
<br />Kochi,Alexis Chen,Sarah Chen,Eva Benet,Ava Kieval,Hannah Kieval,Sarah Beuttell,Aaron

<br />October Minutes:Sofia Saleeby read October meeting minutes,which were approved by the
<br />Committee.
<br />Debrief on Halloween Balloon Hanging -Charlie debriefed the balloon hanging where we
<br />walked around Lexington Center and hung orange,white,and black balloons.Everyone met at
<br />the quad and walked around in groups of 3-4.We all agreed it was very successful,and enjoyed
<br />the pizza they provided.
<br />Food Pantry –2000 Pound Challenge
<br />-C&W November 11 at Noon sorting,bagging,and delivery to Lexington Food Pantry
<br />-Duncan talked about the food pantry event coming up.You all collected bags that were
<br />given out last meeting from people to bring to the event.This is where we sort them to
<br />see if they are expired or have dents.Then bring them to the food pantry.We will have
<br />pizza for everyone at the end of the event.We need 2000 pounds of food to meet our
<br />goal!
<br />Senior Luncheon
<br />-Push event to February and March for scheduling issues
<br />-We will have more information on this event in upcoming meetings
<br />Turkey Delivery’s Wednesday November 22nd 2:30 pm
<br />Go to C&W where we have many turkey dinners.We drive around and deliver the dinners to
<br />youth and family services and for families in need that cannot afford to splurge for Thanksgiving.
