<br /> <br /> <br />Semiquincentennial Commission (Lex250) <br />June 28, 2023 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice duly filed with the Town Clerk, the Semiquincentennial Commission <br />(Lex250) convened in a hybrid meeting in the Parker Room at the Town Office Building and via <br />Zoom video conference on Wednesday, June 28 at 4:31 pm by Ms. Barry as allowed by <br />legislation (S.2475) extending the suspension of certain provisions of the Massachusetts Open <br />Meeting Law. <br /> <br />Present in person: <br />Suzie Barry, Select Board Member, Chair <br />Julie O’Leary, Civic Representative <br />Steve Conners, Reenactment Community Representative <br />Noah Michelson, Community Representative <br />Barry Cunha, Business Representative <br />Cerise Jalelian, Town Celebrations Committee Representative <br />Mona Roy, Community Representative, Vice Chair <br />Bebe Fallick, Tourism Committee Representative <br /> <br />Present remotely: <br />Jillian Tung, Music & Arts Representative, Clerk <br />Jane Hundley, LPS 6-8 Social Science Coordinator <br /> <br />Absent: <br />Paul O’Shaughnessy, Historical Organization Representative <br /> <br />● The meeting was called to order at 4:31 pm by Ms. Barry <br />● Patriots’ Day 2025 Schedule <br />○ Ms. Barry presented the proposed Patriots’ Day schedule of activities to the <br />Select Board at their meeting on 6.21.2023 and provided a summary of the <br />discussion that followed <br />■ Public Safety staff emphasized that activities expected to draw crowds <br />should be scheduled on Saturday in the interest of providing adequate <br />staffing, resources, and other factors related to public safety <br />■ Mr. Lucente asked about a rain date <br />■ Ms. Hai, Mr. Pato, and DPW, and Mr. Pato expressed concerns about the <br />parade taking place after 3 pm on Saturday <br />■ Mr. Pato encouraged Select Board members to have a conversation with <br />the Minuteman in late July <br />○ Mr. Conners summarized comments he made at the meeting, including concerns <br />about whether the proposed schedule was supportable <br />○ Commission members discussed the proposed schedule and shared thoughts about <br />different scenarios <br />● ARPA Funding <br /> <br />
