TOWN OF LEXINGTON TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUSTS Minutes of Meeting of June 2, 2011 The meeting was held at 7:30 PM in the conference room of the Police Station in Lexington, MA. Present were Alan Fields, David Williams, Thomas Taylor and Susan McClements. The minutes of the February 23, 2011 meeting were approved. A report from SSGA as of April 30, 2011 on the status of the funds was reviewed. The funds performance exceeds the benchmarks. We approved a revision to the terms of the Jacquelyn R. Smith Memorial Fund, as set forth in the document attached to these minutes, We acknowledged additions to funds as follows: $500 to the Matt Allen Fund from the Lexington VFW; $1406.09 to the Leo P. McSweeney Scholarship Fund from the Leo P. McSweeney campaign; and $750 to the Lexington PTA Council Scholarship Fund from Rod Cole for School Committee. We accepted the James H. Nolan Scholarship Fund on the terms set forth in the letter attached to these minutes. No resolution of the resiting of the Filipowski sculpture has taken place; We will recommend it be placed somewhere around the Town Hall complex. We reviewed a letter dated May 5, 2011 from SSGA regarding an increase in fees. Alan will get clarification. The reinvestment by Alan of a redeemed bond in the Westview Cemetery Fund was approved. It was voted to authorize the expenditure of the amounts available for this year fi-om all the scholarship funds. Next meeting: October 12 at Atlantic Trust in Boston. Thomas Taylor, Secy.
