TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUSTS <br />Minutes of Meeting of June 2, 2011 <br />The meeting was held at 7:30 PM in the conference room of the Police Station in <br />Lexington, MA. Present were Alan Fields, David Williams, Thomas Taylor and Susan <br />McClements. <br />The minutes of the February 23, 2011 meeting were approved. <br />A report from SSGA as of April 30, 2011 on the status of the funds was reviewed. The <br />funds performance exceeds the benchmarks. <br />We approved a revision to the terms of the Jacquelyn R. Smith Memorial Fund, as set <br />forth in the document attached to these minutes, <br />We acknowledged additions to funds as follows: $500 to the Matt Allen Fund from the <br />Lexington VFW; $1406.09 to the Leo P. McSweeney Scholarship Fund from the Leo P. <br />McSweeney campaign; and $750 to the Lexington PTA Council Scholarship Fund from <br />Rod Cole for School Committee. <br />We accepted the James H. Nolan Scholarship Fund on the terms set forth in the letter <br />attached to these minutes. <br />No resolution of the resiting of the Filipowski sculpture has taken place; We will <br />recommend it be placed somewhere around the Town Hall complex. <br />We reviewed a letter dated May 5, 2011 from SSGA regarding an increase in fees. Alan <br />will get clarification. <br />The reinvestment by Alan of a redeemed bond in the Westview Cemetery Fund was <br />approved. <br />It was voted to authorize the expenditure of the amounts available for this year fi-om all <br />the scholarship funds. <br />Next meeting: October 12 at Atlantic Trust in Boston. <br />Thomas Taylor, Secy. <br />
