{ <br />TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUSTS <br />Minutes of Meeting of September 20, 2010 <br />The meeting was held at 12 noon at the offices of Atlantic Trust at 100 Federal Street, <br />Boston, MA. Present were Alan Fields, Thomas Taylor, David Williams, Susan <br />McClements, David Ely, and Pat Doyle. <br />David Williams discussed with Pat some issues with the State Street accounting <br />statements which Will be fixed. <br />The Trustees voted to approve investments of some of the cash balances in some funds <br />made on September 14 on instructions from Alan. <br />The State Street report on performance of the funds as of August 31, 2010 was reviewed. <br />Performace across the board was very good compared to our benchrnarks. <br />The April meeting minutes were accepted: <br />Susan reported on her discussions with the Lexington Symphony President on our <br />$10,000 donation from the Gilmore Fund to establish a Centennial Endowment Fund for <br />the symphony, to be matched with a $10,000 contribution from the symphony. The <br />Trustees reviewed the terms of the fiend and the publicity. There will be a reception for <br />the Board and the Trustees on November 3. <br />There was a discussion of the Filipowski sculpture cornrnisioned by the library and <br />displayed in the old library building. The sculpture is now kept in a closet because the <br />library doesn't know what to do with it. The Trustees paid $2000 toward the cost. The <br />sentiment of the Trustees was that it should be displayed or sold. Alan will talk to <br />Connie Rawson. <br />Next meeting at the hone of Susan McClements on November 3 before the Lexington <br />Symphony reception. <br />Tom Taylor, Secretary <br />
