TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUATS <br />Minutes of Meeting of April 28, 2010 <br />The meeting was held at 12:30 PM at 100 Federal Street, Boston, MA <br />Present: Alan Fields, Thomas Taylor, David Williams and Susan McClements. Also <br />Dennis Dwyer and Pat Doyle from SSGA. Dennis reported that Craig McColIough had <br />left the firm and that Pat would be in charge of our account. <br />The minutes of the February 18, 2010 were approved <br />Pat Doyle reviewed the performance of the portfolio as of March 31. Alan is to instruct <br />Pat as to the investment of the large amount of cash in the Munroe Cemetery Fund in <br />government agency bonds. <br />The Trustees reviewed a proposal from McCue The Florist Inc. to install and maintain <br />flower barrels in the center of town for the corning summer. It was decided to request <br />$8725 from the Fund for Lexington. <br />The Trustees discussed the proposal to make a $10,000 one - hundreth anniversary gift to <br />the Lexington Symphony,to be matched by the Symphony, to establish an endowment. <br />David and Susan are to meet with Fred Johnson to work out the details. <br />The Trustees voted to accept the Paul A. Serben Scholarship Fund subject to approval by <br />the Selectmen. <br />There was discussion of bringing on board an investment person who could become <br />familiar with our operation with a view to eventual replacements of Trustees. Susan will <br />talk to three persons identified by the group as possibilities. <br />It was voted to authorize David to make the usual disbursements of scholarships funds in <br />May <br />Tom Taylor, Secy. <br />
