TOWN OF LEXINGTON <br />TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUSTS <br />Minutes of Meeting of October 8, 1996 <br />A meeting of the Trustees was held at 8:00 P.M. at the home of David Williams, <br />1433 Massachusetts Avenue. Present were Trustees Alan S. Fields, David G. Williams <br />and Thomas G. Taylor, and Secretary Sheryl Mason. <br />The minutes of the June 4, 1996 meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />It was voted to approve the sales and purchases of securities on June 3, 1996 and <br />August 22, 1996 described in letters dated June 7 and August 28, 1996 from Fleet Bank. <br />It was voted to approve a transfer from the Bridge Charitable Fund to the Human <br />Services Fund of $4000, $2000 to be paid now and $2000 after the first of the year. <br />Dave talked to Marcia Dane who established the Elsa W. Regestein Fund in the <br />1930's. Miss Dane agreed that income shall be added to principal in this fund until the _ <br />principal balance reaches $5000. AOaggj nod f J .c am p-,-,61 <br />At the request of Brian Gilbert, Supt. of Public Grounds, it was voted to give <br />$1000 from theMiliken Fund and $1000 from the Taylor Tree Fund to the Town for <br />planting 16 shade trees on Town Streets. <br />It was voted to give not more than $500 from the George Gilmore Fund to the <br />Town to restore the antique bas - relief given to the Town by Marion E. Hunt. <br />A payment of $150 to Boston Edison was approved from the Tenney Memorial <br />Fund for lighting the flagpole. <br />It was voted to transfer $3000 from the George Gilmore Fund to the Ella Stone <br />Scholarship Fund to be added to principal. This will make the Stone fund large enough to <br />be able to give a named scholarship in future years. It is the intention of the Trustee to <br />make similar transfers in future years to other small scholarship funds for the sant? <br />purpose. <br />Next meeting: Tuesday February 11, 1997 at 8:00 P.M. at the home of Tom <br />Taylor, 64 Marrett Road. <br />Tom Taylor, Secretary <br />
