TRUSTEES OF PUBLIC TRUSTS <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />s -• <br />A meeting of the Trustees was held at 12 :00 noon on November 1, 1994. 125 . - <br />High Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Present were Alan S. Fields, Thomas G. Taylor, <br />David G. Williams and Sheryl Mason. <br />The minutes of the June 2, 1994 meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />The chairman reported that he had met with the Board of the Lexington Education <br />Foundation and they approved a transfer of $10,000 from the LEF Fund to the Weld <br />Fund, which will reestablish the Weld Fund. <br />It was voted to approve the sales and purchases of securities as described in letters <br />dated June 20, June 29, July 7,and July 18, 1994 from Shawmut, attached to and made a <br />part of these minutes. <br />The chairman reported that he had met with Dan Fenn to suggest that the <br />Selectmen might consider a fund- raising campaign to solicit private donations to various <br />funds held by the trustees or to new funds. Dan agreed to follow up on this suggestion. <br />It was voted to expend $14,688 from the Westview Cemetery Fund for a new <br />truck, on the request of Dick Spiers. Mr. Spiers also requested $950 from the Colonial <br />Cemetery Fund to pay the Lexington Historical Society for work on the headstone <br />restoration project. <br />The trustees reviewed and approved a draft of the material for the Town Report. <br />Mr. Williams pointed out that the $500 paid from the Denk fund last year for <br />scholarships included some principal. He will discuss with the donors the consequences of <br />reducing the fund below the $5000 threshold. <br />It was voted to pay Boston Edison $200 for illumination of the Minuteman statue. <br />It was voted to pay Sheryl $1250 in December. <br />The next meeting will be on February 2, 1995. <br />Respectively submitted, <br />
