Patriots Day, Monday, April 18, 2016 <br />Buses from LHS to Registration Area: the letter requesting buses will go out shortly. Lorain’s <br />neighbors have volunteered to supervise the bus shuttle from the LHS parking lot to the <br />registration area. <br />New parade inquiries: Several new groups have inquired about participating in the parade. <br />They will be put on the invitation list for 2017. <br />Langley Winds Band to perform: The Air Force Langley Winds Band, which performed in <br />Cary Hall in November 2014 when it was called the Heritage of America Band, will perform a <br />free concert on a Thursday evening in June. TCC’s responsibility will be to print programs, <br />provide a meal for the band, and serve as ushers at the concert. More details will follow. <br />Rain plan: Lorain will set up a rain plan meeting with Chief Corr and selected others. <br />Walk-through: there will be a walk-through of key portions of the parade close to the parade <br />date. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Linda Dixon, Co-Secretary <br />Applications <br />No Fee <br />The committee approved the new application of Harry Allen for a 1946 Chevrolet Oil Truck <br />The committee approved a modification to the approved application for the Minuteman <br />National Park application to add a fourth vehicle to their parade group. They will now have a <br />bus, truck, and two cars. <br />The Ghost Army’s inflatable tanks will not be in the parade as Rick Beyer will be out of town <br />that weekend and did not submit an application. <br />Future Meetings <br />March 23; March 30; April 6; April 13; April 27; May 11; May 25; June 8; June 22. <br />
