<br />LEXINGTON DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Minutes of Meeting of February 32016 <br />, <br />A meeting of the Design Advisory Committee (DAC) was held on February 3, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Reed <br />room of the Town Office building. A quorum of five attended. <br />Members Present: , <br />Bruce Creager, John Frey, Bahig Kaldas, Alenka SlezakCaroline Fitzgerald, Steve <br />Vincent, Tim Lee (Chair) <br />Members Absent: <br /> Brigitte Steines, Richard Friedson <br />Approvals <br />: Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />The meeting reviewed and acted on the following item: <br />1.55 Allen Street, BINA Farm Center – Sign application (two signs) <br /> The applicant presented the signs that have already been installed. The applicant is requesting that <br /> the sign stay where they have been installed and that no changes be made to the signs size, color <br /> and design. The applicant noted that the conservation committee may require the signs be shifted <br /> but that the signs would remain on the property in roughly the same location. The signs will not be <br /> illuminated. <br /> After reviewing the application the DAC determined that although the signs were installed without <br /> prior approval the signs as presented are acceptable and recommend approval of this application. <br /> If any further changes are made to the project scope or design as presented at any time prior to <br /> final installation the DAC asks that the applicant notify the DAC for review and approval prior to <br /> implementation. <br />2.269-277 Bedford Street, Heritage Service Center – Sign application (two signs) <br /> The applicant presented the project and location and design for the two signs. One will be a new <br /> sign over the building entrance. The other sign is an existing sign that will be updated and <br /> modified. <br /> After reviewing the application the DAC determined that the signs as presented are generally <br /> acceptable and recommended approval of this application with the following changes to the signs <br /> presented. <br /> Freestanding sign: <br />a. The lower sign panel displaying the Dunkin Donuts logo will not be illuminated. Either logo presented is <br />acceptable. <br />b. The dimensions of the cabinet will not be any larger then the existing sign cabinet. <br />c. LED's will be used for the light source. <br /> Wall mounted sign: <br />a. All white areas of the sign will be made opaque so only text and the coffee cup will be illuminated. <br />b. LED's to be used for light source. <br />c. The cabinet depth shall be reduced from five inches to three inches. <br /> If any further changes are made to the signs or project scope as presented the DAC asks that the <br /> applicant notify the DAC for review and approval prior to implementation. <br />3.10 Maguire Road, BMC – sign application <br /> <br />
