<br />LEXINGTON DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Minutes of Meeting of December 22015 <br />, <br />A meeting of the Design Advisory Committee was held on December 2, 2015 at 7:30 pm in the Reed room <br />of the Town Office building. A quorum of seven was present. <br />Members Present: , <br />Bruce Creager, John Frey, Bahig Kaldas, Alenka SlezakBrigitte Steines, Caroline <br />Fitzgerald, Tim Lee (Chair) <br />Members Absent: <br /> Steve Vincent, Richard Friedson <br />Approvals <br />: Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and approved. <br />The meeting reviewed and acted on the following item: <br />1. New sign application – Salons by JC located at 675 Lowell Street <br />The DAC reviewed the proposed new signs at our meeting on August 5, 2015 and had the following <br />comments and recommendations. <br />The applicant presented the proposed sign for Salons by JC to be located both on the building and inside <br />the new business. <br />One channel sign will be located above the entry on the facade of the building and one blade sign will be <br />located above the entry door inside the business. The signs will be constructed and mounted as shown in <br />the drawings presented at the meeting. The size, design, font and colors will be as shown on the presented <br />drawings. The exterior channel sign will be illuminated with LED illumination and will not exceed 150 foot <br />candles as shown in the drawings. <br />After reviewing the application the Design Advisory Committee determined that the project scope as <br />presented and shown in the drawings is acceptable and recommends approval. If any changes are made to <br />the project scope or design as presented at any time prior to final installation the DAC asks that the <br />applicant notify the DAC for review and approval prior to implementation. <br />Exhibits presented at our meeting: <br />1. <br />Photo of existing conditions – front of the building <br />2. <br />Sign design drawings from Accent Graphics – Three sheets dated 10-8-14 with latest revision <br />dates of 3-19-15 on sheets 1 & 3 and 10-27-15 on sheet 2 <br />Other Business <br />: None <br />Respectfully submitted <br /> Timothy Lee <br />Cc: <br /> Board of Selectmen <br />
