<br />LEXINGTON DESIGN ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />Minutes of Meeting of February 10, 2014 <br />A meeting of the Design Advisory Committee was held on February 10, 2014 at 7:30 pm in the Ellen Stone <br />room of Cary Hall. A quorum of six was present. <br />Members Present: <br />Tim Lee (Chair), Bruce Creager, John Frey, Brigitte Steines, Alenka Slezak, Bahig <br />Kaldas, Ginna Johnson <br />Members Absent: <br /> Richard Friedson <br />Approvals <br />: <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were approved with minor corrections <br />The meeting acted on the following items: <br /> 1. Kiln Brook – 70 Westview St., 20 Maguire Rd. & 81 / 83 Hartwell Ave., Lexington, MA <br /> Sign application - modifications to existing signs <br /> The DAC reviewed the proposed modifications to the existing signs at our regular meeting 10 <br /> February 2014 and had the following comments and recommendations. <br />1.The DAC approved of the design solution, materials, color and overall scale and <br />appearance of the signs for this specific location. <br />2.Although internally illuminated signs are not permitted the DAC agreed that the use of <br />LED lamps is appropriate and offers the least impact and most sustainable solution for <br />this location. <br /> The following documents/exhibits were presented and reviewed at the meeting: <br />1.Exterior Site Signage package produced by Advanced Signing Drawing No's. A01-A.1 – <br />A.8, REV.10-30-13, Site.2 Rev. 7-22-13, A01-B.1 – B18 Rev. 10-30-13, Site.4 & Site 4a <br />Rev. 7-22-13, A01-C.1 – C.8 Rev. 10-30-13, Site.1 Rev. 7-22-13 <br />The Design Advisory Committee recommended approval of this application.
