Ave. Lexington, MA 02421
Planning Board - 94 Hartwell Ave., Sign Application
The DAC reviewed the proposed sign application at 94 Hartwell Ave. and had the following comments.
1. After reviewing the three sign versions for the business name sign the DAC recommend the 36” x
120” version (image attached). The DAC find the other two versions too large for the location.
2. The DAC recommends approval of the smaller logo sign over the door as proposed.
3.The DAC does not typically recommend internally illuminated signs including halo type lighting and
prefer external illumination of signs. However in this specific case the DAC found the proposed
halo type lighting an appropriate application and acceptable.
4.The DAC would like the applicant to submit a final detailed technical drawing indicating the
dimensions of the signs and the signs locations, all sign materials and components and sign colors
to the Town for final approval prior to installation.
The Design Advisory Committee recommends this project be approved pending compliance with the
recommendations noted above.
