(Ab- <br />sent: Mary Hutton, Samita Mandella, Wayne Miller, Reeta Pandey, Sam Zales.) 6 vacancies. <br />Guests: Sam Zales, MLK Day; Doug Lucente, Select Board Liaison <br />7:01 PM: Meeting called to order by Chair Geetha. <br />7:04 PM: November 17, 202 1 Minutes approved. <br />Veterans Day Cermonies Wrap-up <br />- Geetha again thanked all members for making possible this outstanding event. <br />- Linda reported that, thanks to her Thank You note to the Lexington Minutemenm she and Lo- <br />rain were invited to its Change of Command ceremony and dinner at the Wayside Inn! Our rela- <br />tionship with the Minutemen is very close. <br />Doug Lucente cautioned that 3 Town Zoom meetings have been "bombed" by unauthorized at- <br />tendees and told Geetha to be suspicious of any outsiders wishing to attend our meetings. <br />Sam Zales invited all TCC members to attend the many activities being offered by the Martin <br />Luther King Day (Jan 17) Committee, the 29th commemoration by the Town. We are encour- <br />aged to spread the word though our individual networks. Geetha wished to be kept advised of <br />which members pariticipated ii which activities. <br />Patriots Day (April 18) <br />- A thorough discussion of our main alternatives ensued: (a) hold an outdoor, traditional parade <br />versus (b) support other activities such as last year's Door Decorations, the Smiles & Miles <br />project, and the video. Steve said that Minuteman National Park is going ahead with outdoor <br />plans. Cerise enthused over her Scouts' and son's desire to hold a parade this year. Gresh <br />noted that with vaccines, boosters, and masks prevalent everywhere now, the conditions are <br />set to hold a sate outdoor parade after 2 years of cancellations. <br />- A motion to hold a traditional parade was unanimously approved by the members. This <br />will be subject to Select Board approval (meeting next Tuesday the 18th). <br />- A subcommittee will meet this Friday at 7:30 PM to finalize our parade plan resentation to the <br />Select Baord. It will include backup ideas should the weather or COVID make holding a parade <br />irnpossilbe. <br />" <br />- Doug then urged us to convene soonest a Stakeholder Meeting of all Town Departments which <br />will be involved in supporting an outdoor parade.
