<br /> <br />Meeting Minutes for March 16, 2023 <br />Attendees: Harriet Cohen (Clerk), Jeri Foutter (Chair), Charles Hornig (Planning Board), Paul Linton, <br />Wendy Manz, Joe Pato (Select Board liaison), Bob Pressman, Melanie Thompson, Betsey Weiss <br />Absent: Cindy Arens (Sustainable Lexington liaison), Sarah Morrison (LexHAB liaison), John Zhao (COA <br />representative) <br />Guests: Margaret Heitz, Barbara Katzenberg, Ingrid Klimoff, Tom Shiple <br />The Housing Partnership Board (HPB) meeting was chaired by Jeri Foutter and minutes were taken by <br />Harriet Cohen. <br />1. Call to Order: Housing Partnership Board Meeting <br />Ms. Foutter called the meeting to order at 7:32. The roll was called. <br />2. Cluster Zoning Group outreach on Article #34 (and Article #33) <br />Ms. Katzenberg discussed the origin of the Cluster Housing Study Group. The Cluster Housing <br />Study Group advocates for multi-family housing in Lexington. The Cluster Housing Study Group <br />has focused on providing “explainers,”, one-pagers to help explain different aspects of proposed <br />zoning bylaws. It is now focusing on outreach and understanding the concerns of Town Meeting <br />Members. <br />3. Article #34 Amend Zoning Bylaw and Map - Multi-Family Zoning Housing for MBTA <br />Communities – outreach efforts <br />Ms. Foutter framed the discussion for tonight as ways in which the HPB will advocate for and <br />perform outreach to TMMs regarding Article #34. <br />After discussion, the HPB agreed that HPB members would first call and then email their Town <br />Meeting Members in support of Article #34. Ms. Foutter, Ms. Weiss, and Ms. Cohen agreed to <br />send suggested voicemail and email messages to HPB member on March 18 or March 19. <br />Ms. Cohen shared a letter to be sent to the Select Board and to be posted (with the Select <br />Board’s permission) on the Town Meeting website under the link for Article #34. Ms. Weiss <br />moved that the HPB approved sending the letter to the Select Board. Ms. Cohen seconded the <br />motion. <br />In favor: Ms. Cohen, Ms. Foutter, Mr. Hornig, Mr. Linton, Ms. Manz, Mr. Pressman, Ms. <br />Thompson, Ms. Weiss <br />Against: none <br />Abstaining: none <br />Ms. Weiss then moved that the letter also be sent to the Town Meeting Members Association <br />mailing list. Ms. Cohen seconded the motion. <br />In favor: Ms. Cohen, Ms. Foutter, Mr. Hornig, Mr. Linton, Ms. Manz, Mr. Pressman, Ms. <br />Thompson, Ms. Weiss <br />Against: none <br />Abstaining: none
