○June 1 in Concord:Regional 250th meeting <br />○May 10:Town counsel,trademark counsel,merchandise,tent <br />●Discovery Day 2023 <br />○Participation of the Lex 250 Commission this year is not feasible <br />○In lieu of Discovery Day,we will look into procuring a tent for the purpose of <br />hosting a pop-up booth at public events in Lexington during summer and fall <br />○Ms.Hundley will look into the summer concert schedule <br />○Ms.Tung will research different tent options and pricing <br />○A motion to purchase a tent for the purchases of publicity for Lex 250-related <br />events and community outreach was passed unanimously by roll call vote <br />●Approval of minutes <br />○A motion to approve the minutes of the Lex 250 meetings of 4/4/2023 and <br />3/1/2023 was made by Ms.Barry,seconded by Mr.Cunha,and approved <br />unanimously by roll call vote <br />●Working group updates <br />○In the interest of time and efficiency,Ms.Barry suggested that working group <br />updates be reported by email distribution to commission members. <br />●State and Federal updates <br />○Ms.Barry indicated that a state-level meeting is scheduled for May 9 at 3 pm and <br />that commission members could attend virtually <br />○The finance committee of the state commission met last Friday to review funding <br />options <br />○Currently,state-level proposals for funding are stalled <br />○The possibility of federal funding is unlikely <br />○The communities of Concord,Arlington,Lincoln,and Lexington are considering <br />jointly hiring an event planner or coordinator for all 4 communities <br />○Options for funding from the town are being considered <br />●Encampment update <br />○Mr.Conners’plan is currently under review by the town manager’s office <br />●Adjourn <br />○A motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 5:52 pm and passed unanimously <br />by roll call vote <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Jillian Tung
