1TOWN WARRANT1-k) <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said <br /> County, Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br /> directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, <br /> qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet in <br /> the Cary Memorial Building, in said Lexington, on Monday, the <br /> seventh day of December, 1936, at 8:00 P.M. then and there to act <br /> on the following articles: <br /> Article 1. To receive the report of any Board of Town Officers <br /> or of any Committee of the Town and to appoint other Committees. <br /> Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and <br /> transfer sums from available funds to the following accounts: <br /> Public Welf are <br /> Removal of Snow and Ice <br /> Public Works Building Equipment <br /> Old Age Assistance <br /> Workmen's Compensation and Public Liability Insurance <br /> Elections & Re istr tipns <br /> Highway Department Equipment <br /> Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate funds for <br /> labor and materials on public works and for other expenses in <br /> connection therewith, to be expended by the Selectmen for aid to <br /> persons employed on various projects, and provide funds therefor <br /> by transfer from available funds. <br /> Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer <br /> money from available funds for the unpaid bills for the year 1934 <br /> in the following account: Health Department, $56.00. <br /> Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer <br /> money from available funds for the unpaid bills for the year 1935 <br /> in the following accounts: Health Department, $84.00; Police <br /> Department, $25.00. <br /> Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer <br /> the Sum of $150. for the payment of tuition of pupils attending <br /> Vocational School or act in any manner relating thereto. <br /> Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of <br /> money from the Interest Account to the Excess and Deficiency Account. <br /> * See page 3. <br /> Article 9. To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to <br /> install street lights in the following unaccepted streets: <br /> Arcola Street; Bartlett Ave; Pearl Street; Ridge Road; <br /> Stratham Road; Taft Avenue. <br /> Article ]D. To see if the Town will vote to accept a bequest of <br /> the late Frederick L. Emery to be held by the Town in trust to <br /> permit the Lexington Field and Garden Club to apply the income <br /> toward the beautification of public places in the Town as more <br /> fully set forth in the will of the late Frederick L. Emery. <br /> Article 11. To see if the Town will grant to the United States of <br /> America an easement to use the portion of the property at the corner <br /> of Massachusetts Avenue and Grant Street known as the Harrington <br /> property between the present exterior line of Massachusetts Avenue <br /> and thebuilding line heretofore established by the Town on said <br /> property substantially in accordance with a form of deed on file <br /> with the Town Clerk, a copy of which is open to public inspdction. <br />
