TOWN WARRANT <br /> COMMONWEALTH' OF MASSACHUSETTS MIDDLESEX, ss. <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, ins aid <br /> County, Greeting: <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br /> directed to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, <br /> qualified to vote in elections and in town affairs, to meet in <br /> their respective voting places in said town, <br /> (PRECINCT ONE, EMERSON HALL: PRECINCT TWO, THREE AND POUR, <br /> CARY MEMORIAL HALL), ON TUESDAY, THE THIRTEENTH DAY OP JUNE, A. D. , <br /> at two o ' clock P. M. , for the following purposes: <br /> To bring in their votes to the Election Officers for the <br /> Election of Delegates to a Constitutional Convention called to <br /> Ratify or Reflect the Following Amendment to the Constitution of <br /> the United States, proposed by Joint Resolution of Congress <br /> Text of the Proposed Amendment : <br /> "Section 1. The eighteenth article of amendment to the <br /> Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed. <br /> "Section 2. The transportation or importation into any State, <br /> Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery <br /> or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the <br /> laws thereof, is hereby prohibited. <br /> "Section 3. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall <br /> have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by <br /> conventions in the several States, as provided in the Constitu- <br /> tion, within seven years from the date of the submission hereof <br /> to the States by the Congress." <br /> And to vote on the following question: <br /> " Shall licenses to granted in this town for the sale <br /> therein of wines and malt beverages? " <br /> The polls will be open from two o 'clock P. M. until <br /> eight o' clock P. M. <br />
