TOWN WARRANT <br /> Commonwealth of Massachusetts Middlesex, ss. <br /> To either of the Constables of the Town of Lexington, in said County, <br /> Greeting : <br /> In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are directed <br /> to notify the inhabitants of the Town of Lexington, qualified to vote <br /> in elections and in Town affairs, to meet in the Cary Memorial Building, <br /> in said Lexington, on Monday, the seventeenth day of November, A. D. <br /> 1952, at 8 o' clock P. M., then and there to act on the following <br /> articles : <br /> Article 1. To receive the reports of any Board of Town Officers- <br /> or of any Committee of the Town and to appoint other committees. <br /> Article 2. To see if the Town will appropriate the sum of <br /> 010,670.54 to reimburse the United States Housing and Home Finance <br /> Agency for the unpaid balance of the cost advanced by that agency <br /> to the Town for the preparation of plans for the construction of <br /> the Mill Brook Sewer and provide for payment thereof by a transfer <br /> of said sum from the Metropolitan District Sewer Plan Fund; or act <br /> in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 3. To see if the Town will vote to construct a sanitary <br /> sewer in or near Bedford Street from Eldred Street northerly to the <br /> proposed terminus of the Bedford force main near Winter Street, subject <br /> to the Selectmen obtaining an agreement from the Town of Bedford to <br /> reimburse the Town of Lexington for the full cost of such construction, <br /> and to take by eminent domain, purchase or otherwise acquire any fee, <br /> easement or other interest in land necessary therefor; appropriate a <br /> sum of money for such construction, including land acquisition; and <br /> determine whether the money shall be provided by transfer from avail- <br /> able funds, including any special sewer funds, or from unexpended <br /> appropriations or by borrowing, or by any combination of these <br /> methods; or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 4. To receive the report of the Committee for Veterans' <br /> Memorial Library and see if the Town will authorize the School Com- <br /> mittee, on behalf of the Town, to obtain bids and enter into a contract <br /> or contracts for the construction and original equipping and furnishing <br /> of the high school library in the new high school building, and will <br /> designate it as the "Veterans' Memorial Library" ; appropriate a sum <br /> of money for such construction and original equipping and furnishing <br /> and determine whether the money shall be provided by transfer from <br /> available funds or from unexpended appropriations, or by borrowing, <br /> or by any combination of these methods; or act in any other manner <br /> in relation thereto. <br /> Article 5. To see if the Town will vote a supplementary appro- <br /> priation to be used in conjunction with and in addition to the money <br /> appropriated under Article 40 of the Warrant for the 1951 Annual Town <br /> Meeting for the construction and original equipping and furnishing of <br /> a new high school building and determine whether the money shall be <br /> provided by transfer from available funds or from unexpended appro <br /> priations or by borrowing, or by any combination of these methods; <br /> or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br /> Article 6. To see if the Town 14,,,1,,1 Vote to amend the Zoning By- <br /> Law so as to change certain land fromrl District to a C 2 District by <br /> adding in Section 4. (d) C 2 - General business districts, the follow- <br /> ing new paragraphs : <br />
