Lexington Historical Commission <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of October 21, 1981 <br /> Members present: Sara Chase, Martin Gilman <br /> Anne Grady (ex officio) , Ed Donnolly <br /> The Lexington Historical Commission met in Room 111 <br /> of the Town Office Building on October 21 at 7 : 30 p.m. . <br /> Town Manager Robert Hutchinson announced that the two va- <br /> cancies on the Commission had been filled. The Selectmen <br /> appointed Mr, Ed Donnolly and Mr. Roland Gubisch to the <br /> Commission. Hutchinson spoke at some length about budget <br /> matters, Commission activities, and concluded by offering <br /> the typing and mailing services of his office staff. Don- <br /> nolly, a history teacher in Watertown and employed by the <br /> National Park Service, was welcomed to the Commission. <br /> Discussion then turned to defining plans and goals <br /> and budget for fiscal 1982 . Grady and Chase helped Gilman, <br /> who agreed to do the forms as needed. Grady reported that <br /> Fallick has consented to write the Annual Report statement <br /> for this calendar year. The Commission completed the last <br /> 200 inventory photographs but still lacks forms on 50 <br /> structures, advised on the Adams School conversion, and <br /> responded to a number of telephone requests for information <br /> in 1981. <br /> The aims for 1982 are to complete the survey and in- <br /> ventory, to focus on East Lexington as an historic area, and <br /> to stimulate greater public awareness of the value of Lex- <br /> ington' s older homes and buildings. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9 : 15 after setting November 18 <br /> as the date for the next meeting. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br />
