THE LEXINGTON HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Lexington, Massachusetts 02173 <br /> Minutes <br /> November 8 , 1979 <br /> The Lexington Historical Commission met in Room 11X of the <br /> Town Office Building at 7 : 30 P.M. on November 8 , 1979. Members <br /> present were Anne Grady, Sara Chase, and Bebe Fallick. <br /> The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved <br /> as amended. <br /> Anne Grady presented copies of a letter which she sent to Mary <br /> Miley regarding National Register properties in Lexington. Ms. <br /> Grady also reported that Lexington was the only town, so far, to <br /> request that it be the locale for the Boston University Preservation <br /> Studies course which involves development of a preservation plan. <br /> Ms. Grady also presented the budget for 1980, which was discussed <br /> and commended. <br /> Ms. Chase requested suggestions for items to write into the <br /> Historical Commission' s annual report for the 1979 Town Report and <br /> received the following suggestions: inventory proceeding quietly; <br /> Excellence in Preservation Award to the Snyders ; Norma 's serving <br /> on the Town committee on housing; submission of strong recommendations <br /> with regard to the exterior trim paint color of Hancock School and <br /> better ways to handle school conversions in the future; demolition <br /> of the East Lexington Railroad Depot; selection of new member Ms . <br /> Bebe Fallick; and investigation of means of getting a comprehensive <br /> preservation plan for Lexington. <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> \J .., • <br /> Sara B.
