THE LEXINGTON HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> Lexington, Massachusetts 02173 <br /> MEETING <br /> Planning Board Office (due to a last minute change) October 6, 1976 <br /> Lexington Town Office Building 7 :30 P.M. <br /> Voting Members Present: Chairman Elizabeth Reinhardt, Anne Grady, <br /> Donna Brown, Sarah Chase. <br /> Guests: None <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:10 due to a mixup of meeting rooms. <br /> The chairman introduced the newest member appointed to the Commission by NEW <br /> the Town Manager. MEMBER <br /> A discussion concerning our interest in the future of the East Lexington <br /> Railroad Station cendered on the present and future ownership. Mrs. Brown EAST LEX. <br /> advised that the station is presently under agreement to be sold to the RAILROAD <br /> owners of the Lexington Toyota Dealership. Mr. Brown is a member of that STATION <br /> ownership and will keep the commission advised as to the progress being <br /> made. <br /> Inventory Status Report: The report has not as yet been proof read.. Area <br /> 4 is complete, In Area 5 there has been no architectural research dompleted <br /> to date. The volunteers are still working in Area 6, as is Area 1. It is INVENTORY <br /> expected some work will continue through the summer. Areas 2 and 3 are also <br /> incomplete but have been working. It was suggested that perhaps more help <br /> is needed to complete these areas. <br /> Mrs. Brown will inquire of Mr. Joseph Rooney any information about the FrostALLEN ST. <br /> house on Allen St. <br /> Mrs. Reinhardt is planning a slide show for the public in mid-October. The <br /> date and details will be forth coming. SLIDES <br /> Mrs. Reinhardt announced her retirement as Chairman to remain a member of <br /> the commission and assume other duties. Ann Grady was nominated to replace NEW <br /> by Sarah Chase. Second by Mrs. Brown. The vote unanimous. CHAIRMAN <br /> The Commission will make a request to the Town that Sarah Chase be sent to <br /> the Philadelphia Architectural Historian meeting. We will request the amount REQUEST <br /> of $305.49 or part thereof. <br /> Mrs. Reinhardt submitted a copy of Guidelines for Town Appointed Committees. COMMITTEES <br /> She will check to see if more copies are available. GUIDE <br /> Mrs. Reinhardt will be sending for information on the Mill Brook area in <br /> Arlington so we may see the relationship to Lexington. MILL BROOK <br />
