LEXINGTON HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING Room G5 October 20, 1975 Lexington Town Office Building 7:.30 P.M. Voting Members present: Donna Brown, Ann Grady, Richard Morehouse, Elizabeth Reinhardt, Thomas Taylor. Public Participants: Mr. Lincoln Cole visited The meeting was called to order at 7 :35 P.M. Mrs. Reinhardt provided the agenda. All bills of the Commission will be submitted first to Donna Brown. UBMIT BILLS A Purchase order will be made up for each. expenditure (except in the case of several small amounts by one person for reimbursement) We have been advised that the Commission should provide the Town Manager with a list of our projected expenses for the remainder of ROJECTED EXPENSES this year. Weshould also make our proposal for a budget for next FISCAL 75-76 year. It was voted that we include the following in a request for funds for this year. 1. Film purchase $200.00 2. Processing (including copies for National ROPOSED EXPENSES Register Applications) $200.00 REMAINDER OF YEAR 3. Secretarial Help $125.00 4. U.S.G.S. Maps .. $ 15.00 Total $540.00 A vote was taken to approve the bills to date for the following: 1. National Historic Trust Workshop fee $ 35.00 Ann Grady attended ILLS SUBMITTED 2. National Trust for Historic Preservation $ 25.00 Membership (Organization) 3. Film Purchased 8/29/75 and Processing 10/16/75 Betty Reinhardt $ 10.68 4. Xerox copies Richard Morehouse $ .83 $ 71.51 Unaanimous Graduate students will be used to do Title searches when necessary, RADUATE STUDENTS as in the case of the Sanderson House. A discussion was held concerning the po.ssibilit iof this Comm- ission doing a publication of perhaps five chapters on the UBLICATION development of the town of Lexington. Ideas for material to be included were, photographs, maps of the various periods of development, a brief description of the Town, a glossary of arch- itectural features. The publication to begin with the first settle- ment of the Town to the present. The Commission report (Annual) must be submitted by November 15th NNUAL REPORT to be included in the Town Report. The Chairman will write the " report and send it around for comments by the members. LF.tter from Temple Scanlon concerning funds was discussed. It was SSIBTR FUNDING decided to ask him to find out more about the funds mentioned. We will wait to hear from him again.
