The confirmation from Washington on the nomination of the
Hancock School to the National Register should be coming some-
HANCOCK time in the next week . It was suggested again by Mrs . Brown
SCHOOL that the School Committee still should be contacted since
they still have some unanswered questions . Mrs . Reinhardt
advised that since no action was taken by the School Committee
for six months since the notice was sent to them the nomination
was probably considered by default .

Organizations in which we might be interested . It was voted
MEMBERSHIP not to join the Bay State League (Historical ) at this time .
We can get information through the Lexington Historical Society
The Victorian Society - no vote - still a possibility . The

them of our work and interest in the nomination of their

I HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY THE ASSISTANT TO THE TOWN MANAGER

must be submitted . If the cost is over $200 three bids most
be submitted .
I will check with Mr . Perry concerning the payment of any
small bills .
3UDGET We should meet shortly to begin to gather information needed
in order to draw up a reasonable budget to be submitted .
Discussion was held on the nominations of several new
prp;erties . No action was taken at this time on the Sherburne
JEW NOMINATIONouse , Outerbridge House , Simonds Tavern, Reed House , or
omes around the Battle Green . It was decided that we should
make an application for the Bowman Tavern at once . This
may make it sooner that we could find some funds for its
restoration and/of upkeep .
