Roy, Vice-Chair (MDR)
Christina Lin, Clerk (CL)
Stephanie Hsu (SH)
Cleveland Coates (CC)
Lexington Public School District - Larry Freeman (LF)
Town of Lexington, Police - Colleen Dunbar (CD)

The minutes were taken by Christina Lin, LHRC Clerk
• Meeting Called to order and welcome at 10:00 A.M. Quorum was present
• Proclamation for Women's Rights are Human Rights - Committee members were
mostly in support of the draft presented to them. A couple of points were raised for
discussion. One around whether and how to include non-binary people (trans-men)
who could become pregnant into the proclamation. By the title of the proclamation, it
is about women's rights and therefore it was not clear to all committee members
whether trans-men who identify as men but still could become pregnant should be
included in the proclamation. Of concern was that transmen could be raped and
become pregnant and therefore the rights to and access to reproductive care should
also be covered under this proclamation.

CL motioned to approve The Resolution of the Lexington Human Rights
Committee Declaring that Women's Rights are Human Rights pending any non-
substantive changes. Approved by unanimous vote.

Next Meeting September, 2022

1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420
