Chapter 40, Section 6. <br />Explanation for purpose and reasons why the expenditure is extraordinary <br />and/or unforeseen. <br />Date <br />Account Number <br />Chair, Select Board <br />Date <br />New Capital Acct #TBD <br />Fund 5000 <br />After moving the Police Station from 1575 Mass Ave to the Temp Station at 173 <br />Bedford Street, public safetey (Police, Disbatch, Fire) began to experience <br />serious problems with the radio communications system. The root cause of the <br />problem is the age of the system and that it was designed work with copper <br />lines, which were available at the former Police Station, but not at 173 Bedford <br />Street. This issue would continue when moving back to the newly renovated <br />Police Station. To resolve this issue antenna eqipment at 9 locations needs to <br />be replaced with modern equipment. This transfer will be used to purchase and <br />install the antenna equipment. <br />Department Head <br />$750,000.00 <br />RF
