MINUTES <br /> FUND FOR LEXINGTON BOARD <br /> JUNE 13, 2022 <br /> 4:00 p.m. <br /> held by remote participation <br /> Present: Doug Lucente, Chair; Suzie Barry;Norman Cohen; Alan Fields; Ed Grant; Rev. Claire Feingold <br /> Thoryn, Alan Wrigley; Melissa Interess, Director of Human Services; Tony Serio, Assistant Director of <br /> Family and Youth Services; Melissa Battite, Director of Recreation and Community Programs; and Kim <br /> Katzenback, Executive Clerk to the Select Board. <br /> Mr. Lucente stated the remote participation meeting is being held remotely as posted with the agenda. <br /> 1) Money Available as of May 31, 2022: Principal $316,212.77 <br /> Income $17,999.34 <br /> 2) Human Services Report <br /> Ms. Interess reported the following activity for the Human Services funds dispersed for the period: <br /> • Fund for Lexington <br /> o $452.58 out of the Heating Assistance Pilot for one resident (Remaining balance - <br /> $4,182.63) <br /> • Human Services Emergency Fund (non COVID related) <br /> o $12,294.93($10.019.00 for rent for 4 residents, $849.93 for Hotel, $1,426.00 for <br /> Miscellaneous Overdue Bills,) <br /> o Lexpress subsidized passes fiscal year to date - 38 passes,value of$7,640 <br /> o Gift Cards - $325 in food cards; $225 in clothing cards <br /> • Human Services Gift Fund Assistance (non COVID related) <br /> o $889.23 for Stove for resident <br /> • Covid-19 Financial Assistance (Takeda and FFL Contributions) <br /> o Disbursed $6,232.71 this period for 3 individuals/families <br /> ■ Takeda Balance: $72,906.32 <br /> ■ FFL Balance: $25,000 <br /> 3) Recreation Department Report <br /> Ms. Battite, Recreation Director, updated the Board on the Recreation Scholarship Fund used to assist <br /> children from low income families to attend Town sponsored summer programs. <br /> 4) Request for East Lexington Flower Barrels Beautification Project <br /> Upon a motion duly made and seconded, by roll call,the Fund for Lexington Board voted 7-0 to approve <br /> $4,650 to pay Wilson Farms for plantings of the East Lexington flower barrels for 2021 per request <br /> submitted by Jim Shaw. <br /> 5) Next Meeting Dates <br /> The Board reviewed and confirmed the following meeting dates for Fund for Lexington Board: <br /> • September 12, 2022 <br /> • December 5, 2022 <br /> 6) Approval of March 22, 2022 Meeting Minutes <br /> On a motion duly made and seconded,by roll call,the Fund for Lexington Board voted 7-0 to approve the <br /> March 22, 2022 Meeting Minutes. <br />
