1 <br /> <br />Town of Lexington <br />Vision for Lexington Committee Meeting <br />May 27, 2022 <br />Remote Meeting <br />7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: Margaret Coppe, Kathleen Lenihan, Joe Pato, Bhumip Khasnabish, Samita Mandelia, <br />Rina Kodendera, Robert Peters, Daniel Joyner, Weidong Wang and Mark Manasas <br /> <br />Members Absent: Peter Lee, Vishwanathan Krishnamoorthy, Shannon Murtagh and Andrew Dixon <br /> <br />Guests: Dan Krupka <br /> <br />Staff Present: Katharine Labrecque <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order: 7:50am <br /> <br />The Remote Meeting Script was read by Ms. Margaret Coppe. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />• No minutes were approved. <br /> <br />Action Items Summary: <br />• Find person to lead and monitor the Vision for Lexington Committee Webpage on the Town <br />of Lexington website and report back the email traffic (Mr. Mark Manasas, Mr. Daniel Joyner) <br />• Go through the necessary processes to review the applications and make recommendations <br />to the Select Board for filling committee vacancies (Ms. Margaret Coppe, Mr. Joe Pato, Ms. <br />Rina Kodendera, Mr. Daniel Joyner) <br /> <br />Meeting Highlights: <br /> <br />Ms. Margaret Coppe sought an update from Mr. Joe Pato regarding the return to in-person or hybrid <br />meetings. Mr. Joe Pato is still working with the Select Board and the Town to determine the feasibility <br />and procedures to adequately return to in-person. Mr. Joe Pato highlighted that the State Legislature <br />may extend the allowance of remote meetings. <br /> <br />Town-wide Survey Preparations <br />Mr. Mark Manasas presented the update, explaining that roughly 10% of the Town participated. Six focus <br />groups were held and around 50 people participated. Ms. Margaret Coppe highlighted the diversity of <br />personalities of participants and that write-ups are currently underway, though the takeaway is the <br />acknowledgement of misinformation and disinformation that some participants expressed regarding <br />Town operations. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Manasas expects a final report to be delivered to the Vision for Lexington Committee on August <br />31st. A special committee meeting will be held on September 9th to approve the report and deliver it the
