RECEIVED
022 27 Apir, Ipium
Housing Partnership Board Charge Revision Subcommittee TOWN CLERK
LEXINGTON MA
Meeting Minutes for April 5, 2022
Attendees: Harriet Cohen,Jeri Foutter, Bob Pressman, Betsey Weiss
Absent: (none)
Guests: Margaret Heitz, Stephanie Hsu
The meeting was chaired by Harriet Cohen and the minutes were taken by Ms. Cohen. The meeting was
called to order at 7:02 p.m. and the roll was called.
The attendees discussed the use of terminology in the Charge and whether to define terms such as
"moderate housing" and "senior affordable housing".The attendees agreed that definitions other than
low income were different in different contexts and could not be rationalized to a single definition.
This subcommittee is proposing that representatives of the Human Rights Committee (HRC), the
Sustainable Lexington Committee, and the Committee on Disabilities be added as liaisons to the Housing
Partnership Board. Ms. Foutter attended recent meetings Human Rights Commission (HRC) and the
Sustainable Lexington Committee to ask if they would provide a liaison to the Housing Partnership Board
if liaisons were approved by the Select Board. Both committees appointed liaisons. Ms. Foutter will also
contact the Committee on Disabilities to make the same request to them.
The subcommittee has a solid working draft of the updated Charge with (hopefully) final discussion and
refinements at the next meeting.
The subcommittee agreed that the next meeting will be on April 21, 2022 at 7:00 pm.
Ms. Weiss moved adjournment and Ms. Foutter seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 pm.
