October 26, 1964 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met on Monday evening, October 26, 1964 in <br /> the office of the Town Accountant. <br /> Present: J. Harper Blaisdell, Chairman <br /> Richard H. Battin Robert M. Gary <br /> Frank T. Parrish,Jr. Mrs. Richard W. Souza <br /> Oscar R. Carlson Donald P . Noyes. <br /> Raymond L. White, Secretary <br /> Mrs. George P. Morey and Leslie H. York of the Facilities Committee <br /> CC were present at the opening of our meeting at 8:00 P.M. , in response to our <br /> written request. <br /> Our chairman read letter received from the Board of Selectmen of our <br /> appointment with the Selectmen on Monday, November 16th, at 8:30 P. M. for <br /> the purpose of discussing the warrant for the Special Town Meeting to be <br /> held on November 23, 1964. <br /> Minutes of our previous meeting of October 19, 1964 was read by our <br /> chairman and approved. <br /> A general discussion -was had relative to whom would receive the <br /> Appropriation Committee report and it was suggested that the Appropriation <br /> Committee report be mailed to the Town Meeting members and the Town Officials. <br /> Donald Legro and Alan Green entered pur meeting in reference t@ the <br /> — proposed by law- amneridment concernincq 'tile 'distribution of the Appropriation <br /> Committee report. It was stated that the state law requires that 'the Se'lectmei <br /> must make a budget available to all voters., <br /> TheAppropriationCommittee voted to recommend to the coming Town Meet- <br /> ing that the portion of the Town by-laws concerning the distribution of the <br /> Appropriation report be modified so that the report shall be mailed to each <br /> residence ratherthen each voter. The vote was 5 ix' favor and 3 against. <br /> Meeting adjourned_at 10:00 P. M, <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Raymond L. White, <br /> Secretary <br />
