HYrner Blaisdell <br /> Robert T . Kingston Frank T. Parrish <br /> Raymond L. White, Secretary <br /> Donald Noyes, Chairman had done some further checking as to the <br /> estimated tax rate of 39. 10 for year 1964, and find there is a net shortage <br /> nof $414,00. which means the Tax rate will be up approximately $2.45 over last <br /> ,..-years' rate. <br /> A general discussion was had on budgets in general and where we <br /> could reduce our operating figure. <br /> Consideration was given on the pollibility of reducing the following: <br /> Library 10,000.00 <br /> Public Works, Expenses40,000.00 <br /> Interest 10,000.00 <br /> Reserve fund 10,000.00 <br /> Recreation 20,000.00 <br /> We then went down to the Selectmen' s meeting to inform them as to <br /> the tax rate, instead of $39. 10 as estimated to 4P41.55 or a possible increase <br /> of $2.45. <br /> There was a general discussion and the Selectmen said possibly the <br /> following could be done. <br /> Route 2 - Sewer delayed this year 50,000. , <br /> Water Ccnduit 65,000. <br /> From Excess & Dificiency 100,000. <br /> The net result would be an increase in the tax rate of $1.50 for <br /> year 1964.
