LEXINGTON <br /> Bob Burbidge, Bill Kennedy, Henry Liu, Lester Savage, Bob Phelan, Martha Wood, Donna Leary, and Bill Hays. Also <br /> present were Pearlene Varjabedian, Housing Director and Karen Iverson, Patricia S. Nelson, counsel to LexHAB., Bob <br /> Pressman of the Lexington Housing Partnership. Absent was Regina Brown, Financial Administrator and Gerry Howell. <br /> The Chairman, Bob Burbidge presided. <br /> Task Force Update for Executive Director Position <br /> The Task Force presented as draft Job Description. Discussion followed including review of existing <br /> responsibilities of staff, independent contractors and the Board. A number of edits were discussed. <br /> Motion to accept the Executive Director Job description as edited. All in favor by Roll Call. <br /> SCREENING COMMITTEE <br /> Bob Burbidge— <br /> The Chair proposed setting up a screening committee since having the discussion in an open session will be <br /> detrimental to the public body's ability to attract qualified applicants for the position <br /> - The committee would consist of Bill Kennedy, Robert Phelan, Karen Iverson, Pat Nelson and Pearlene <br /> Varjabedian. <br /> Motion to establish a screening committee-For the purpose of screening candidates for <br /> Executive Director to review resumes, conduct interviews, and make recommendation(s) <br /> To the Board. <br /> Donna Leary had to leave meeting call <br /> Henry Liu abstained from Vote. -6 Members were in favor by Roll Call. <br /> Motion made to delegate to the screening committee to make non substantive changes to the job description. <br /> All favor by Roll Call <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> The Chair moved to adjourn the Open Session and go into Executive Session to discuss strategy with <br /> respect to litigation as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the Lexington <br /> Housing Assistance Board and to discuss tenant matters that if considered in Open Session might adversely affect <br /> privacy rights of individuals. <br />
