t 4 J? <br /> September 12, 1963 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met Monday evening, September 9th at 7:30 <br /> P. M. in the office of the Town Accountant. <br /> Present: Donald R. Noyes, Chairman <br /> Logan Clarke, Jr. J. Harper Blaisdell <br /> John R. Bevan Frank T. Parrish, Jr. <br /> Robert H. Kingston Oscar R. Carlson <br /> Ralph B. Fifield, Jr. Raymond L. White Secretary <br /> The first item to come before this meeting was the present balance in <br /> our Reserve Fund as the Chairman has received several requests for transfers. <br /> The balance in the Reserve Fund as of this date is $2$,69$.69. <br /> A copy of a letter sent to the Board of Selectmen was read request'ng <br /> the sum of $14,3$3.10 be transferred from the Reserve Fund to Payment of <br /> ° Debt—Interest account. No action was taken on this request at this meeting. <br /> A letter from theBoard of Selectmen was read requesting a transfer of <br /> $7,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to Library account due to shortage in <br /> Library budget of $7,000.00. No action taken. <br /> A letter from the Board of Selectmen requesting a transfer of $750.00 <br /> from the Reserve Fund to Park Department, Wages and Expenses account to <br /> defray part of the cost to repair the flag pole on the Common. A motion <br /> was made, seconded and voted to transfer the sum of $750.00 from the <br /> Reserve fund to Park Department, Wages and Expenses account. <br /> A letter from the Board of Assessors requesting the sum of $1,000.00 <br /> from the Reserve Fund to Assessors' 8epartment, Personal Services account. <br /> - It was voted by this Committee to invite the Board of Assessors to our <br /> next meeting to be held September 23rd at 7:30 P. M. in regards to their <br /> request. <br /> Donald Noyes, Chairman, stated that the By—law Committee is having a <br /> meeting on September 19th at $:15 P. M. in the Selectmen's room and have <br /> invited our Committee. The Chairman requests that postal cards be sent <br /> out to our members asking them to attend. <br /> The Chairman spoke in regards to having certain members of our Committee <br /> handle portions of the annual budgets, such as: <br /> General Government — Oscar R. Carlson <br /> Protection of Persons and Property — Frank T. Parrish Jr. <br /> Public Services — J. Harper Blaisdell <br /> Cemeteries — Frank T. Parrish Jr. <br /> Maturing Debt and Interest — John R. Bevan <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> Raymond L. White <br /> Secretary <br />
