33 9 <br /> October 23 , 1961 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met Monday evening October 23, 1961 at $:10 P. Y. <br /> in the office of the Town Accountant. <br /> ' Present: J. Harper Blaisdell, Chairman <br /> Raymond L. White Temp.Sec. Maurice F. Shaughnessy <br /> John R. Bevan Richard H. Battin <br /> Alfred Viano Frank F. Douglas <br /> Logan Clarke Jr. C. Roland Christensen <br /> The purpose of this meeting is to consider any requests for transfer of <br /> funds and to discuss the Articles in Town Warrant for Special Town Meeting <br /> on November 6, 1961. <br /> q•-4 The following request for transfer from the Reserve Fund was acted on as <br /> follows: <br /> Transfer of $122.00 from the Reserve Fund to Health Department – Rabies <br /> Clinic– Expenses. So voted. <br /> Transfer of $200 from the Reserve Fund to Appropriation Comm. Exp. So voted. <br /> The next item was to consider the Articles in the Town Warrant. <br /> Article I To receive the reports etc. bio action. <br /> Article 2 To see if the Town will vote a supplementary <br /> appropriation to be used by the Standing School Building Committee. <br /> Our Chairman stated he understood they are going to ask for $30,000. <br /> Article 3 To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to <br /> abandon the easement to enter upon and flow the water of <br /> Butterfield's Pond etc. <br /> Article 4 To appropriate an additional sum of money for the <br /> Fire Department– Personal Services. This Committee believes there <br /> — is sufficient funds in their account, so no appropriation is <br /> necessary. <br /> Article 5 To see if the Town will authorize the Selectmen to <br /> install such sewer and water mains etc. Understand the Selectmen <br /> are asking for $15 ,000 for sewer and $45,000 for water mains. <br /> On article 5 the Shade Street sewer was discussed and approximately <br /> 560,000 is available two years after completion. <br /> Article 6. To see if the Town will vote to establish as a Town <br /> . Way, and accept the layout as a Town Way, Station Way from Edison <br /> Way to Municipal Parking area a distance of 78 feet, more or less <br /> etc. Understand the Selectmen are asking .$12,$70. the same as <br /> asked for before. <br /> Article 7 To see if the Town will vote to accept the alteration <br /> and relocation as a Town Way of Worthen Road from Waltham St. etc. <br /> any money involved would be approximately $100. <br /> Article $ To see if the Town will vote to establish as a Town Way <br /> and accept the layout of as a Town Way, Worthen Road from Cambridge <br /> Concord Highway 275 feet more or less etc. Understand no money <br /> involved in this Article #E . <br /> Article 9 To see if the Town will vote to establish as of a Town Way <br /> and accept the layout of as a Town Way, Buckman Drive from existing <br /> ?Buckman Drive a distance of 235 feet more or less etc. Understand <br /> money will be asked for but amount unknown at this time. <br />
