9 <br /> „ . <br /> The Appropriation Committee met on Mgy 15 , 1961, at 8:00 P. M. in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant. <br /> Present: J. Harper Blaisdell, Chairman <br /> Edward A. Palmer John R. Bevan <br /> Logan Clarke, Jr. Frank E. Douglas <br /> C. Roland Christensen Maurice F. Shaugnessy <br /> Alffed Viano. <br /> The new members are: <br /> John R. Bevan <br /> J. Harper Blaisdell <br /> —.4 • Frank B. Douglas <br /> The first order of business was the election of officers: Nominated: <br /> John Harper Blaisdell — Richard H. Battin, Chairman: Maurice F. <br /> Shaugnessy, Vice—Chairman: Edward A. Palmer, Secretary. <br /> The vote was: Mr. Blaisdell — 6, Mr. Battin — 2, Mr. Blaisdell was <br /> elected. Mr. Shaughnessy — Elected Vice—Chairman, unanimously. <br /> Mr. Palmer elected Secretary, unanimously. <br /> There was a request from the Assessors for 51,300,00. It was voted not <br /> to transfer from Reserve Fund, five against, two for, one abstention. <br /> There was request from the Selectmen for $436.50. It was voted to <br /> transfer from the Reserve Fund. Voted unanimously. <br /> The meeting with the Standing School Building Committee on the 16th was <br /> discussed along with our estimates of the possible costs of the <br /> "Learning Center" schemes. <br /> Tax rate: A letter was read for information. <br /> It was recommended that the meeting be reported in the "Minute—man". <br /> The Secretary will be the Public Relations Officer. <br /> The Assessors will be notified that they may appear at the next meeting. <br /> The next meeting willbe held June 5, 1961. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Edward A.
