A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the Town <br /> Accountants office. on January 12, 1959, at 8:00 P. M. <br /> Present were ; <br /> Norman J. Richards, Chairman <br /> Edward A. Palmer Maurice F. Shaughnessy <br /> Howard A. Patterson Donald Colony <br /> J. Harper Blaisdell Munroe Hamilton <br /> It was agreed to change the Fire Department meeting to <br /> February 2nd and the Library Trustees to January 19th. <br /> There was a discussion of Open Meeting and reading of Counsel 's <br /> letter on the Act. <br /> At 8:40 the School Committee was in to discuss Budget. <br /> Before discussion Mr . Richards gave an exposition of School Budget <br /> and fixed charges and the affect on the tax rate if current <br /> economy in School Department is not effected. <br /> The Budget was discussed with no apparent intent of the <br /> School Committee to retrench. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 10:45 P. M. and will meet on <br /> Monday, January 19, 1959 at 8:00 P. M. with the Police Department <br /> and Library. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> Secretary <br />
