193 <br /> The Appropriation Committee met in the Committee Room of Cary Memorial <br /> Hall on November 13, 1956, at 8 P. M. <br /> Present were : <br /> dilliam Madden, Chairman <br /> John Works Wilfred Dwyer <br /> Munroe Hamilton Norman Richards <br /> Donald Colony Edwarc: A. Palmer, Seely. <br /> Voted: To approve the transfer of $5,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to <br /> Snow Removal. <br /> The Special Town Meeting Warrant was discussed. <br /> 9:00 P. M. Planning Board arrived to discuss the School Sites and <br /> Zoning Changes. Left at 9:30 P. M. <br /> Voted: <br /> Art. 4 0 2,000.00 from E. & D. for Junior High Survey. <br /> 9 950.00 from E. & D. for Speed Survey. <br /> 10 4,500.00 from Water Assess . Fund for Water Survey. <br /> 11 165,000.00 15,000.00 from E. & D. for Water Standpipe <br /> 150,000.00 Bonds <br /> 12 10,000.00 2,000.00 from Water Surplus Account. <br /> 8,000.00 from E. & D. for Demolition of <br /> Concrete Standpipe <br /> 13 24,400.00 4,400.00 from E. & D. <br /> 20,000.00 Bonds for Water Mains <br /> 14 135,780.00 30,780.00 Sewer Assessment <br /> 105,000.00 Bonds for Sewers <br /> On Article 16, Library Addition Committee 's request for additional funds <br /> it was voted: The Committee recommends unfavorable action at this time, <br /> as the Committee understands that this request is based on revised estimates <br /> and a firm bid has not yet been received. The Committee further under- <br /> stands that the authority of the Library Addition Committee was limited to <br /> an addition to the existing structure. The Committee feels that in view <br /> of the fact that this request brings the total appropriation up to <br /> $500,000.00, the authority of the Library Addition Committee should be en- <br /> larged in scope so as to include possibilities other than an addition to <br /> the present structure, and that the Library Addition Committee report <br /> back to the Annual Town Meeting. <br /> 17 65,000.00 Junior High Site recommends $45,000.00 from <br /> E. & D. <br /> 18 15,000.00 Elementary School Site from E. & D. <br /> 19 Allen Street. Recommends unfavorable action, as the <br /> Committee considers this as deferrable. <br /> 21 Deptht Square. No recommendations as insufficient in- <br /> formation has been received concerning costs . <br /> The Committee adjourned at 12:25 A. M.
