x <br /> 166 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held June <br /> 15, 1955 at 7:30 in the Selectmen' s Office at the Town <br /> Office Building with the Board of Selectmen and the <br /> Planning Board. <br /> Present were : <br /> Donald Clark, Chairman <br /> Edgar Bailey William Madden <br /> Wilfred Dwyer John Work <br /> Edward Palmer, Sec. <br /> Mr. Bateman discussed articles 2 and 3 of the Warrant ex- <br /> plaining that betterments would apply to the sidewalk con- <br /> struction. Estimated cost, $13,000 from E. & D. <br /> The Worthen Road Proposal was discussed re: drainage costs, <br /> extent of drainage, land costs, etc. - $130,800; suggested <br /> that road be financed from E. & D. and bonding. <br /> The Planning Board discussed parking lot, costs, etc . <br /> At 10:55 the Committee met alone in the Selectmen' s Office <br /> and voted as follows : <br /> 1. Art. 6: The Committee recommends that unfavorable <br /> action be taken on this article. <br /> 2. Art. 4: The Committee does not recommend that <br /> favorable action be taken. <br /> 11:55 - Meeting Adjourned.
