A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> Conference Room of the Cary Memorial Building with the follow- <br /> ing members present: <br /> Gardner Ferguson - Chairman <br /> John Biggs James V. MacDonald <br /> Robert R. Cave William Madden <br /> Donald T. Clark Leslie C. Read <br /> Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. Frank D. Walker, Sec. <br /> n Bud Fisher called. <br /> A letter from the Selectmen was read requesting a transfer <br /> of $200.00 to Police Dept. Expenses. Voted to request further <br /> information. <br /> A request was received from the Selectmen for a transfer of <br /> $240.00 to the Building & Plumbing Dept. Personal Services for <br /> substitutes for Mr. Lindstrom while sick. Voted to transfer <br /> as requested. <br /> A request was received from the Selectmen for a transfer of <br /> $6,635 for the purchase of a new bulldozer as the ones on <br /> hand at the present time are not working and would cost $1500 <br /> to repair. Mr. James, Maloney and Reed explained this request. <br /> Voted to transfer the sum of $6635 to Road Machinery - New <br /> Equipment for the purchase of HD 5-B. <br /> The School Dept. budget was examined. On Personal Services <br /> it was voted to advise the school committee that we were not <br /> recommending any general overall increases except for teachers, <br /> principals and superintendent. <br /> Some items on the Expense budgets were voted. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M. <br /> Next meeting December 27, 1954 - 7:30 P.M. <br /> Agenda: Finish School Dept. and start Public Works. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> • Secretary. <br />
