3 • <br /> A meeting of the Aprropriation Committee was held in the <br /> Conference Room in Cary Memorial Building at 7:30 P. M. on Decem- <br /> ber 14, 1953, with the following members in attendance : <br /> Gardner C. Ferguson, Vice-Chairman <br /> Leslie C. Read Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. , <br /> Donald T. Clark William Madden <br /> John M. Biggs <br /> Frank D. :Talker, Secretary <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:50 P . M. <br /> The minutes of the meeting held on December 7, 1953 were read <br /> and accented. <br /> Letter From Ralph E. Chadwick was read. <br /> Harold Stevens, Town Counsel, dropped in and stated that the <br /> Appropriation Committee need not make any change in their policy <br /> reference to no recommendations on articles not concerning the <br /> appropriation of funds unless in their judgment it should do so. <br /> Asked to rule on the voting power of the Town Accountant and stated <br /> he has a vote. <br /> Discussion followed on School Department budget, taking each <br /> item and asking questions . Les and Don will give a complete report <br /> on the School Committee budget after January 1st. <br /> Next meeting will be held Monday evening, December 21st at <br /> 7:30 P.
