136 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> Conference Room in Cary Memorial Building at 7:30 P. M. on Novem- <br /> ber 3, 1953 with the following members in attendance: <br /> Raymond W. James, Chairman <br /> Leslie C. Read Thomas J . Donnelly, Jr., <br /> William Madden Gardner C . Ferguson <br /> Donald T. Clark Austin W. Fisher, Jr. <br /> John M. Biggs Robert R. Cave <br /> Frank D. Walker, Secretary <br /> Alan Adams Chairman of the Planning Board came in and dis- <br /> cussed Article 4 of the Warrant for the Special Town Meeting to be <br /> held November 3G, 1953 with reference to the new zoning changes. <br /> Leslie Read and sub-committee discussed their first session <br /> with the School Committee. <br /> The following votes -were taken on the Warrant: <br /> Article 2 No recommendations <br /> 1/ 3 U ft <br /> tf fl 11 <br /> 5 Recommends favorable action <br /> A discussion of Article 5 was had to enable the Chairman to <br /> gather thoughts of arguments to use in its favor. <br /> Letter from School Committee requesting transfer of 8805 <br /> to Vocational Education, It was voted to transfer same from the <br /> Reserve Fund. <br /> Letter from Recreation Committee giving notice of their <br /> new Chairman - Robert Person. <br /> Copy of letter received from the Chamber of Commerce to the <br /> Planning Board recommending unfavorable action on Article 4. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 11 :10 P . M. <br /> Next meeting will be held at 7:00 P. M. November 30, 1953 to <br /> sign the report and to hear any unexpected events. <br /> The first meeting on budgets will be held on December 7, 1953 <br /> 7:30 P.
