1.21_ <br /> January 20, 1953 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant on Monday evening, January 19th <br /> with the following members in attendance: <br /> Leon W. Bateman, Chairman <br /> Raymond W. James Ralph H. Tucker <br /> A. W. Cleveland Gardner C. Ferguson <br /> James V. Macdonald William Mar .den <br /> Frank D. Walke r, Secretary <br /> The minutes of the meeting held January 12th were presented <br /> and approved. <br /> It was reported that "Les" Read is incapacitated and we hope <br /> to see him soon. <br /> The Planning Board came in at 7:4+5 and discussed the proposal <br /> for the new layout for connecting streets with an estimated total <br /> cost of around 2 million dollars . It is anticipated that the State <br /> & County will participate in most of the proposed new streets . <br /> Left at :50. <br /> Budgets reviewed and some recommendations approved. <br /> Enclosed is the recapitulation I have made with my re- <br /> commended transfers with the resulting tax rate . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P.
