µ 3 <br /> November 4, 1952 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the office <br /> of the Town Accountant Monday evening, November 3, 1952 with the <br /> following members in attendance: <br /> Leon W. Bateman, Chairman <br /> Raymond W. James Ralph H. Tucker <br /> A. W. Cleveland Thomas J . Donnelly, Jr. <br /> James V. MacDonald Leslie C . Read <br /> Ethel U. Rich, Secretary <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Chairman Leon W. Bateman. <br /> The minutes of the meeting held October iLk, 1952 were presented <br /> and approved. <br /> It was voted to transfer the following from the Reserve Fund: <br /> Public Welfare - Aid & Expenses $2,500.00 <br /> Building & Plumbing P. S . 300.00 <br /> The School Committee, represented by Mrs . Ruth Morey, Charles <br /> Norris and Supt. of School, John B. Smith, came in at-8 o' clock. A <br /> general discussion of the request for the supplementary appropriation <br /> of $160,000 for the construction and original equipping of the new <br /> High School, site improvement, drainage, etc . followed. This Committee <br /> left at 9 o' clock. <br /> Alan Adams, representing the Planning Board, entered at 9 o' clock <br /> with maps and views on the vote to amend the Zoning-By-Law to change <br /> certain land from an R1 district to a C2 district. Left at 9 :30. <br /> The Warrant for Town Meeting, November 17, 1952 was studied and <br /> recommendations made on same. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9 :45. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> (L Y <br /> Secretary <br /> P.S.
