109 <br /> MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD ON <br /> May 19, 1952 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant Monday evening, May 19, 1952 <br /> with the following members in attendance: <br /> Leon W. Bateman, Chairman <br /> Ralph H. Tucker Raymond W. James <br /> A. W. Cleveland John J. Sullivan <br /> Leslie. E. Read Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. <br /> Gardner C. Ferguson James V. MacDonald <br /> Ethel U. Rich, Secretary <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Chairman <br /> Leon W. Bateman. <br /> A welcome was extended to our two new members , James V. <br /> MacDonald and Gardner C. Ferguson who were appointed to replace <br /> Howard A. Patterson and Clarence E. Smith who presented their <br /> resignations. <br /> The following members were nominated and elected to serve <br /> for the year 1952-1953: <br /> Leon W. Bateman - Chairman <br /> Raymond W. James - Co-Chairman <br /> Frank D. Walker - Secretary <br /> Ethel U. Rich - Acting Secretary <br /> It was voted to transfer 124.20 from the Reserve Fund to <br /> Veterans ' Services, Personal Services. <br /> The Articles appearing on the Special Town Meeting called <br /> for Monday evening, May 26th, were reviewed and recommendations <br /> were made on same. <br /> The next meeting will be held Monday evening, May 26th in <br /> the Accountant's Office at 7:30 prior to adjournment to attend <br /> the Special Town Meeting in Cary Hall. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.
