rz <br /> December 31, 1951 <br /> At a meeting of the Appropriation Committee it was voted <br /> to transfer the amount of $103.91 from Reserve Fund to <br /> Health - Expenses Department. <br /> Secretary <br /> s•^k. <br /> January 8, 1952 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant Monday evening, January 7, 1952 <br /> with the following members in attendance: <br /> Leon W. Bateman, Chairman <br /> Clarence E. Smith Raymond. W. James <br /> Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. Leslie C. Read <br /> Ethel U. Rich, Secretary <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7: 30 by Chairman <br /> Leon W. Bateman. <br /> A letter was sent to Mrs. Ruth Morey, Chairman of the <br /> School Committee with reference to the loud speaker used at <br /> the High School to see if any arrangements could be made <br /> whereby the amplifier could be used at the playground during <br /> the summer months. The following is a reply from Mr. Grindle: <br /> "Mr. L. W. Bateman, Chairman <br /> Rppropriation Committee <br /> Town Office Building <br /> Lexington 73, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Mr. Bateman: <br /> Mrs . Morey has requested me to answer your letter <br /> of December 31, 1951 relative to the use of the <br /> amplifier at the playground during the summer months. <br /> The Loud speaker system which we recently installed <br /> in the Junior High School is a permanent one and we <br /> do not see how it would be applicable for the use <br /> you have in mind. <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> TSG:k Thom.
