MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE 77 <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD ON <br /> May 7, 1951 <br /> May 8, 1951 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in <br /> the office of the Town Accountant Monday evening, May 7, , <br /> 1(1)51 withthe following members in attendance: <br /> Howard A. Patterson, Chairman <br /> Ralph H. Tucker John J. Sullivan <br /> A. W. Cleveland Leon W. Bateman <br /> Clarence E. Smith Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. <br /> Frank D. Walker, Consultant <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8 :00 by Chairman <br /> Howard A. Patterson. The minutes of the meeting held on <br /> March 17, 1951 were presented and approved. <br /> The following nominations were made: <br /> Leon W. Bateman Chairman <br /> Clarence E. Smith Co. Vice Chairman <br /> Ralph H. Tucker Co. Vice Chairman <br /> Ethel U. Rich Acting Secretary <br /> The Secretary cast one ballot for the above officials <br /> and they were so elected. <br /> The Committees to work on the various departments <br /> will be assigned at the next regular meeting. <br /> It was voted to engage the services of Prank D. Walker <br /> as Consultant for the year 1951-52 under the same monetary <br /> arrangements as last year. <br /> The following letter was received from the Town Clerk: <br /> "Howard. A. Patterson, Chairman <br /> Appropriation Committee <br /> Lexington 73, Massachusetts <br /> Dear Howard : <br /> Because of the condition of certain record <br /> books, namely births, marriages, and deaths, which <br /> cannot be rebound, it is necessary for me to recopy <br /> the records . Therefore, I am asking for a transfer of <br /> 8150.00 to cover the cost of 300 sheets for birth <br />
