MINTJTFS OE THE MEETING Or' THE <br /> APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE r) <br /> Octooer 16, 1950 <br /> A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the <br /> office of the Town Accountant on Monday evening, October 16, 1950 <br /> with the following members in attendance: <br /> Howard A. Patterson, Chairman <br /> William M. Hall Clarence E. Smith <br /> John J . Sullivan Ralph H. Tucker <br /> A. W. Cleveland Raymond W. James <br /> Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. <br /> Frank D. Walker, Secretary <br /> The minutes of the meeting held on September 30, 1950 were <br /> presented and approved. <br /> Letter from Harod Roeder, Board of Fire Engineers reads : <br /> "Mr. Howard Patterson October 5, 1950 <br /> 123 Blake Road, <br /> Lexington, Mass. <br /> Dear Mr. Patterson: <br /> If you remember, some time early last spring we <br /> turned over to the Town Treasurer a sum of $490.00 <br /> that was received from scrap. At that time we purch- <br /> ased an Electric Generator and auxilliary current for <br /> the Fire Station for $4.90.00. You wrote us that some <br /> time in the fall if we came in and asked for the $490. <br /> your committee would be glad to reimburse us. We are <br /> asking at this time for the $4.90.00 to replenish the <br /> Fire Alarm Fund which is now depleted. <br /> Cordially yours, <br /> HAROLD E. ROEDER/S <br /> Chairman, Board of Fire Engineers" <br /> It was voted to transfer $4.90 .00 from the Reserve Fund to <br /> Fire - Expense Account. <br /> It was voted to transfer 3200.00 from Reserve Fund to <br /> Veterans ' Benefits - Aid and Expenses, as requested in a letter <br /> received from the Board of Selectmen. <br /> It was voted to transfer $7.86 from Reserve Fund to Memorial <br /> Day - Expenses, as requested in a letter received from the Board <br /> of Selectmen. <br /> William M. Hall will meet with the Long Range Planning Board <br /> on Wednesday evening, October 18, 1950, in the Town Accountant' s <br /> Office. <br />
